Agriculture is the number-one contributor ($98 billion) to Ohio’s economy. The state has more than 75,000 farms, about half of which have livestock. Farming provides nearly one million jobs— or one out of every seven jobs in Ohio. Ohio is a leader in producing both livestock and crops.
